Hello, I’m Gale and this is part of my life’s journey and how far I’ve come!

I grew up in New Jersey, where I have lived all my life. I am blessed with three amazing children, one boy in grammar school, one boy in middle school and a daughter who works and lives in London, who every single day make me proud of the human beings that they’ve become so far. I love spending much of my time and energy focusing on them and trying to be whatever they need.

After being a Wall Street Executive for 22 years. I decided to break the rules and chase after my passion, my goals and my happiness. So in 2008 I decided to leave Wall Street and be a stay-at-home mom, a decision that changed and challenged everything I thought I was and wanted to be! Also, once I was convinced I was done with Wall Street, I knew at some point I would pursue my passion to help people balance their lives through a healthy lifestyle, and hopefully become a role model for so many. I feel so fortunate for the opportunity to be at home raising my kids and beginning the next phase of my life’s journey! I thank God and my blessings every single day!

In September 2015, I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and became a specialized health, fitness, and wellness coach. During my studies I became acquainted with practical lifestyle management techniques, innovative coaching methods, and hundreds of dietary theories, and since, I have become the renowned founder and owner of Wellness by Gale, LLC!

“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!” -Audrey Hepburn

My enthusiasm for nutrition, fitness, healing, and complete wellness didn’t just manifest overnight. This is a passion I’ve had all of my life, ever since I was a kid. I was born for this. As a health and wellness coach, my paramount objective is to bring that physical fitness enthusiasm to each and every individual.

I am compassionate, caring, focused, and committed to helping people concentrate on all aspects of their lives and how these areas go on to affect their health positively. With a desire for nutrition and healing, Wellness by Gale utilizes a holistic approach to health and wellness, creating a distinctive program for every individual aimed at achieving results as well as creating a happier, and healthier you!

P.S. In June 2016, at the age of 49, I competed in an all natural figure competition; won Overall in the Masters Figure category, and was named Natural Pro Master Figure Competitor!

I met Gale 4 years ago at UTG! The first thing I noticed was her positive energy in the group training class I was instructing. Since then Gale has nothing but impressed me; her ability to balance her family and work while being an amazing athlete takes a lot of dedication and focus; she makes it look easy! Gale is a wonderful person and a professional athlete. We have become great friends along the way and it’s such a pleasure to have her in my life! I would recommend Gale to everyone; she’s that awesome!

Since 2013-present I have been an active PTO board member – Brookside Elementary School, Westwood, New Jersey. I also serve as Executive Board Member – The Learning Garden, Brookside Elementary School, Westwood, New Jersey (2016-present).

I love working with children and over a dozen years, I have done so in many capacities. I have served as a soccer coach, baseball coach, CCD teacher, Scout leader, and so many more.

Having been a volunteer at my kids’ schools in many areas, and having spent many years with children in various capacities, I came to realize that young children are confronted with a lot pressures, both internal and external, and that school can turn out to be extremely stressful, sometimes boring, and always impactful, so I wanted to join efforts with like minds and help the authorities in my son`s school to start up something different.

I decided to be a part of an existing project, and the organic Learning Garden was born, a place where kids could learn and simultaneously be in charge of watering, harvesting, growing etc. I sat down and imagined an environment where kids could learn and do what makes them happy and also stay healthy at the same time.

Presently, I have been able to flesh out a program that I can share with so many Health Coaches around the nation so that we can grow the cause and start something so special, deploying the same approach and method in their respective communities. Someone once said, “Education is about inspiring one’s mind and not just filling the head.”

A core aspect of this program is to help schools create, sustain, and use onsite gardens while providing a way to educate students in a safe, healthy, and educational way.

We believe school gardens can play a crucial role in creating a holistic, engaging, educational atmosphere for today’s youth: one that encourages hands-on experiences, healthy eating, and curiosity about the natural world.

In the course of managing our Garden Project, Gale Herzing was able to focus on the project and prioritize every task necessary to accomplish the desired end result. From there she assigned the right individuals for each small task and provided detailed instructions, encouragement and advice so that each project staff member had a clear direction and took part in the overall success of the project.

During the creation of our school garden, Gale kept all members of the project staff as well as the administration informed of the progress through every phase. She possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Gale showed an uncanny ability to foresee a potential problem and essentially nip it in the bud saving the school money and preventing unexpected hurdles from delaying the project’s ultimate implementation. Gale’s enthusiastic, optimistic attitude is contagious and served to motivate and energize our project staff.
